Strategi Pengembangan Industri Rumah Tangga Gula Aren di Desa Tuik, Kabupaten Bangka Barat

Abstract

Household industry is a small-scale business unit operating in a specific field. As one of the initiators of the economy, the household industry is expected to play an important role in regional development. Kelapa sub-district, especially in Tuik village, has a palm sugar as a potential local product. The palm sugar produced in Tuik village have a good taste when compared to similar palm sugar. However, the production of palm sugar still relies on naturally growing palm trees, so it cannot yet meet market demand. In addition to limited raw materials, the community of Tuik also have human resource constraints in managing palm sugar production. The analytical method used is SWOT analysis. The results of the analysis state that the development of the palm sugar hosehold industry can be done by improving the quality and quantity of palm sugar through product innovation. The role of institutions is also needed to improve human resources, so it is hoped that it can regenerate and motivate the younger generation to produce palm sugar
