Dampak Covid-19 Terhadap Pelaku Usaha Sektor Informal di Pasar Batu Merah, Kota Ambon

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the impact of Covid-19 on the social conditions and income of informal sector business owners at Batu Merah Market, Ambon City. The research method used was descriptive analytical. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, with 100 respondents. The analysis tool used was the Walcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that Covid-19 had an impact on the socioeconomic conditions of informal sector business owners, and that Covid-19 had an impact on the income of informal business owners at Batu Merah Market, Ambon City. Traders experienced a decrease in income, from the average total income earned by informal business owners before Covid-19 of IDR 23,974,516 to IDR 17,481,685 during the Covid-19 outbreak.
