Peran Gender dalam Proses Pembuatan Kopra di Desa Tehua Kecamatan Telutih
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the gender roles in the copra production process in Tehua Village, Teluti District, Central Maluku Regency. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with 84 respondents, consisting of 52 men and 32 women. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a division of labor based on gender, where men predominantly perform physically demanding tasks such as harvesting and selling copra, while women are more involved in tasks that require precision, such as separating coconut meat and drying. Factors influencing these gender roles include land ownership, community perceptions, and the distribution of household labor.
