Kinerja Sistem Agribisnis Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Pada Kelompok Tani Margo Mulyo di Desa Banjarsari Wetan, Kecamatan Sumbang, Kabupaten Banyumas

Abstract

Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a horticultural commodity with significant development prospects. This research aimeds to evaluate the performance of the melon agribusiness system in the Margo Mulyo Farmers Group. The performance assessment covers several subsystems, namely production facilities, cultivation, processing, marketing, and supporting services. The research method used was a quantitative descriptive with purposive sampling technique through census in the Margo Mulyo Farmers Group, a melon-producing farmer group located in Banjarsari Wetan Village, Sumbang Sub-District, Banyumas Regency. The results show that the melon agribusiness system in the farmer group is in the good category, but still needs improvement, especially in the processing and marketing aspect to increase value added and expand market reach.
