Abstract

Land ownership is a crucial factor that humans rely on to produce food for consumption and as a source of income for individuals and their families. This study aims to: 1) analyze the land ownership system and food security, and 2) analyze the relationship between the land ownership system and the food security of farmers and fishermen in Waai Village. The data collected in this study consisted of primary and secondary data. The collected data were then tabulated using Microsoft Excel. The first objective was analyzed using a Likert scale (land ownership system), income and expenditure analysis, and the second objective was analyzed using correlation analysis. The results of the analysis were then explained descriptively. The results indicate that the land ownership system for farmers and fishermen in Waai Village consists of inherited rights from parents, joint ownership with siblings, and private ownership (purchased from others). There is a significant relationship between land ownership rights and the level of food security of farmers and fishermen in Waai Village.
