Uji Kompatibilitas Umur Dan Jenis Root Stok Dengan Metode Grafting Juvenil Pala Terhadap Keberhasilan Grafting
Abstract
Perbanyakan tanaman secara vegetatif adalah perbanyakan tanaman dengan menggunakan organ-organ tanaman yang dapat menghasilkan tanaman baru yang sama dengan induknya Grafting merupakan salah satu teknik perbanyakan vegetatif menyambungkan dua bagian tanaman batang bawah dan batang atas dari tanaman yang berbeda sedemikian rupa sehingga tercapai persenyawaan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh umur root stok, jenis root stok dan interaksi antara umur dan jenis root stok terhadap kompatibilitas grafting juvenil pala yang meliputi parameter: kompatibilitas root stok dan entris, jumlah tunas dan jumlah daun. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dilokasi Laboratorium Grafting Tanaman di Desa Layeni Kec.TNS, Kabupaten Maluku Tengah Provinsi Maluku dari September- November 2020. Peneliti menggunakan bibit pala berumur 1, 2, dan 3 bulan dengan jenis Myristica fragrans Houtt, Myristica argentea Warb, dan Myristica fatua. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi umur root stok dan jenis root stok memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap peubah yang diamati dan interaksi terbaik untuk uji kompabilitas adalah umur root stok 1 bulan dengan jenis pala Myristica fatua (66,7 %), sedangkan untuk jumlah tunas dan jumlah daun umur root stok 3 bulan dan jenis pala Myristica fatua memberikan hasil terbaik (7,33 dan 14 helai daun).
