Pengaruh Intensitas Cahaya dan Dosis Pupuk NPK terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) pada Pembibitan
Abstract
Light intensity and nutrient availability are important factors in the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) seedlings in primary nurseries. This study aims to analyze the effect of light intensity, NPK fertilizer dosage, and the interaction of the two on oil palm seedling growth. The study was conducted in Tepian Batang Village, Tanah Grogot District, Paser Regency, in October–December 2025. The study used a factorial group random design with two factors, namely light intensity (paranet density 60%, 40% density paranet, and no paranet) and NPK 16-16-16 fertilizer dose (2, 4, and 6 g/polybag). Nine treatment combinations were repeated three times. Observation parameters included plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves up to 10 weeks of age after planting. The results showed that light intensity had a significant effect on plant height at 8 weeks of age and stem diameter at 10 weeks of age. The dose of NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 8 and 10 weeks of age, while the interaction of the two factors had a significant effect on plant height at 8 weeks of age. Descriptively, the combination of no paranet and NPK 6 g/polybag resulted in the highest plant height, which was 56.53 cm, while the NPK dose of 4 g/polybag resulted in the highest number of leaves, which was 8.61 leaves. These results showed that the response of seedling growth differed according to the observed parameters.
