Abstract

Utilization of natural enemies in controlling leaf-destroying caterpillar pests (Plutella xylostella And Crocidolomia pavonana) on cabbage plants is an environmentally friendly alternative to reduce the use of synthetic pesticides and maintain the balance of agricultural ecosystems. This study aims to find the abundance of natural enemy insects in cabbage plantations in Waimital Village, Kairatu District, West Seram Regency. Quantitative descriptive research uses a field survey method through periodic observation and collection of natural enemy insects in conventional cabbage fields with a diagonal sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, 213 natural enemy individuals were found consisting of 4 orders and 9 families, with the highest predator population being Formicidae (147) individuals and the highest parasitoid population being the Tachinidae family (5) individuals. The diversity index value (H’ = 1,0914) is classified as moderate, and evenness (e = 0,4967) is included in the moderate category.
