Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have spiritual strength, religion, self-control, personality, habits, noble character, intelligence and skills needed for themselves, society, nation. and the state, so that productive people are obtained.

This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method or Classroom Action Research. With the classroom action research model, namely planning, action implementation, observation, reflection. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The research instrument is an observation sheet to assess students' attitudes and skills. The data analysis technique used is the Normalized Gain (N-Gain).

The research results are described in stages in the form of learning cycles carried out in the teaching and learning process. In this study, learning was carried out in two cycles. Cycle I consisted of two meetings and cycle II consisted of one meeting. Implementation of the Student Facilitator And Explaining learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 2 Kairatu. This can be seen from the test scores obtained by students in cycles I and II which experienced an increase. Improved student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II which can be shown by multiple choice test results at the end of each cycle.
