HUBUNGAN JUMLAH TROMBOSIT DENGAN SEVERITAS KLINIS PASIEN COVID-19 PADA TIGA RUMAH SAKIT RUJUKAN COVID-19 DI KOTA AMBON TAHUN 2020

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 19 atau COVID-19 pertama kali dilaporkan di Wuhan Provinsi Hubei, Cina pada akhir tahun 2019. Penularan virus terjadi begitu cepat mengakibatkan terjadinya lonjakan kasus. Selain itu, tercatat jumlah kematian akibat COVID-19 juga cukup tinggi. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan COVID-19 mulai menjadi sorotan masalah kesehatan dunia. Diketahui bahwa penurunan jumlah trombosit merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat memperberat severitas klinis pasien COVID-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan jumlah trombosit dengan severitas klinis pasien COVID-19 pada tiga rumah sakit rujukan COVID-19 di Kota Ambon tahun 2020. Manfaat penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran kepada tenaga kesehatan mengenai hubungan jumlah trombosit dengan severitas klinis pasien COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan metode cross sectional dan sampel diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 150 sampel, sebanyak 63 orang (42%) memiliki severitas klinis ringan, 45 orang (30%) sedang, dan 42 orang (28%) berat. Sedangkan, untuk jumlah trombosit, sebanyak 45 orang (30%) mengalami trombositopenia, 88 orang (59%) normal, dan 17 orang (11%) mengalami trombositosis. Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chi-square didapatkan nilai p = <0,001 (p <0,05) yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jumlah trombosit dengan severitas klinis pasien COVID-19.
