SOSIALISASI PARTISIPASI PEMUDA DALAM MENJAGA LINGKUNGAN

Abstract

A lot of environmental damage has occurred in Indonesia, including illegal logging and excessive use of natural resources, without any sustainable conservation. This can happen due to the lack of awareness of the local community regarding the importance of protecting the environment, especially nature in the surrounding environment. Because if the nature around humans has been degraded then the humans themselves will receive the effects, especially future generations who will be the inheritors of nature. The implementation of the KKN activities lasted for 1 day in Negeri Wahai, North Seram District with a structured program and targets, namely the socialization activity "Youth Participation in Protecting the Environment" was carried out using the material presentation method to the youth of Negeri Wahai. The purpose of implementing this Community Service Program is to increase youth awareness and concern for the importance of protecting the environment, especially nature in Negeri Wahai. Based on the results of the activity, the youth showed a caring attitude towards the environment, namely by completing the socialization activities the students and youth held further discussions about how to overcome natural degradation, waste problems and ecotourism potential
