APPLICATION OF THE PROJECT BASED LEARNING MODEL WITH A 3M APPROACH TO IMPROVE THE COOPERATION OF GRADE IV ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Abstract
Cooperation is an important skill that needs to be developed early on to support students' academic and social success. This research aims to improve student cooperation through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with the 3M (Moral Knowing, Moral Feeling, and Moral Behavior) approach. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subject of this study is 26 students in grade IV of Al Farabi Islamic Science Elementary School. Data is collected through observation and documentation. The results of the study show that in the pre-cycle stage, the average student cooperation is in the low category with a percentage of 35%. After applying the PjBL model with the 3M approach in cycle 1, there was an increase to 51% in the sufficient category. Thus, the Project Based Learning model combined with the 3M approach has proven to be effective in improving student cooperation. Project Based Learning not only helps students in completing academic tasks, but also forms the habit of working together actively, being responsible, respecting each other in groups and effective communication in groups. Therefore, this model can be used as an alternative in learning to improve the cooperative character of students in elementary schools.
