Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Multirepresentasi dalam Model Inkuiri Terbimbing pada Materi Fluida Statis untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif Peserta Didik Kelas XI
Abstract
The research carried out aims to determine the increase in students' cognitive abilities in Static Fluid material by using multiple representations in the guided inquiry model. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population was in class XI Science at SMA Negeri 2 West Seram, as many as 50 people, and the sample was class XI IPA-2 with 25 students taken at random (random sampling) because the students' abilities were homogeneous. The instrument used to collect data is test questions, which aim to measure students' cognitive abilities before and after learning using multiple representations in the guided inquiry model. The collected data were analyzed descriptively, then tested using the N-Gain equation to see whether, after being given treatment, students' cognitive abilities improved. Based on the results obtained, both on the initial test and the final test, then proven by N-Gain, students' cognitive abilities have increased. So it is hoped that the results of the research conducted can help teachers to increase their insight in carrying out the learning process by making the classroom atmosphere more active, fun, and not monotonous, and can improve students' cognitive abilities.
