Tanah Goyang: Jurnal Geosains is a peer-reviewed scientific publication dedicated to advancing the understanding and research in the field of geosciences and related disciplines. The journal is published biannually in May and November by the Geophysical Engineering Program, Pattimura University.
The primary aim of Tanah Goyang: Jurnal Geosains is to serve as a leading platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and students to publish high-quality, innovative, and original research findings, review articles, and significant case studies. We strive to foster constructive scientific discussion, facilitate knowledge exchange, and contribute to solutions for regional and global geoscience challenges, particularly those relevant to archipelagic regions, disaster mitigation, and natural resources.
The journal actively solicits manuscripts covering, but not limited to, the broad spectrum of topics within geosciences and geophysical engineering. Our key scope areas include:
Geology: Structural geology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, marine geology, petrology, mineralogy, and geochemistry.
Geophysics: Seismology, gravity, magnetics, resistivity, electromagnetics, geophysical exploration, environmental geophysics, and geodynamics.
Geoinformation: Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and the acquisition and interpretation of geospatial data.
Geocomputation: Numerical modeling, simulations, big data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in geosciences.
General Geosciences and Applications: Hydrogeology, oceanography, meteorology, geological hazard mitigation (earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanism, landslides), and studies of earth resources and renewable energy.
