BROILER PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE IN CLOSED HOUSE CAGE BASED ON INTERNET OF THINGS
Abstract
Peningkatan produktivitas broiler tercermin dari performanya, yang dapat diukur melalui tingkat mortalitas, konsumsi pakan, dan bobot badan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi broiler untuk mencapai performa yang optimal, salah satunya adalah manajemen kandang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis performa broiler dalam kandang closed house berbasis teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) dibandingkan dengan kandang closed house tanpa IoT. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Palaran, Samarinda, dengan metode observasi langsung terhadap performa broiler yang dipelihara pada kandang berbasis IoT dan tanpa IoT. Variabel penelitian meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertumbuhan bobot badan, konversi pakan (FCR), bobot panen, dan mortalitas ayam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kandang tanpa IoT jumlah konsumsi pakan 3,140 dan 3,088, nilai FCR 1,72 dan 1,68, bobot panen 2,02 kg/ekor dan 2,01 kg/ekor, persentase mortalitas 10,1% dan 8,2%, indeks performa (IP) 289 dan 312 yang berada pada kategori “Kurang dan Cukup”. Kandang yang menggunakan sistem IoT meningkatkan efisiensi pada konsumsi pakan dibandingkan kandang tanpa IoT menunjukan jumlah konsumsi pakan 2,838 g/ekor dan 2,665 g/ekor, menurunkan nilai FCR 1,45 dan 1,30, kandang dengan IoT menghasilkan bobot panen 1,98 kg/ekor dan 2,18 kg/ekor menghasilkan bobot panen lebih tinggi pada periode akhir dibandingkan dengan kandang tanpa IoT, kandang dengan IoT berpengaruh dalam mengurangi persentase mortalitas ayam dibandingkan dengan kandang tanpa IoT yaitu 1,5% dan 3,5%. Indeks performa (IP) 407 dan 405 yang berada pada kategori “istimewa” dengan nilai >400.
ABSTRACT
Increased broiler productivity is reflected in its performance, which can be measured through mortality rates, feed consumption, and body weight. One of the factors that influence broilers to achieve optimal performance is cage management. This study aims to analyze broiler performance in closed house cages based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology compared to closed house cages without IoT. The study was conducted in Palaran District, Samarinda, using a direct observation method on the performance of broilers kept in IoT-based cages and without IoT. The research variables include feed consumption, body weight growth, feed conversion (FCR), harvest weight, and chicken mortality. The results showed that in cages without IoT the amount of feed consumption was 3,140 and 3,088, FCR values 1.72 and 1.68, harvest weights 2.02 kg/head and 2.01 kg/head, mortality percentages 10.1% and 8.2%, performance index (IP) 289 and 312 which are in the "Less and Sufficient" categories. The cage using IoT system increases the efficiency of feed consumption compared to the cage without IoT showing the amount of feed consumption of 2,838 g/head and 2,665 g/head, reducing the FCR value of 1.45 and 1.30, the cage with IoT produces a harvest weight of 1.98 kg/head and 2.18 kg/head producing a higher harvest weight in the final period compared to the cage without IoT, the cage with IoT has an effect on reducing the percentage of chicken mortality compared to the cage without IoT, which is 1.5% and 3.5%. Performance index (IP) 407 and 405 which are in the "Excellent" category with a value of >400.
