Monitoring Pelaksanaan Program ASI Eksklusif di Desa Silau Merawab Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai

Abstract

Program Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA) merupakan prioritas Kementerian Kesehatan, dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif sebagai salah satu fokus utamanya. Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan No.450/MENKES/IV/2004 mengatur pemberian ASI eksklusif selama 6 bulan, dilanjutkan hingga 2 tahun dengan makanan tambahan yang sesuai. Namun, target pemberian ASI eksklusif belum tercapai sepenuhnya sesuai dengan Renstra Kementerian Kesehatan. Monitoring sistem manajemen program ASI eksklusif sangat penting untuk mengawasi dan menganalisis kinerja serta efektivitas program tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan pelaksanaan monitoring ASI eksklusif di Desa Silau Merawan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei deskriptif, yang menggambarkan secara mendalam program tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi manajemen pada program ASI eksklusif di desa ini, baik dari sisi input maupun proses kegiatan, belum berjalan optimal. Banyak elemen yang belum dijalankan oleh petugas kesehatan. Namun, dengan adanya pengawasan dan penyuluhan yang berkelanjutan, cakupan ASI eksklusif di Sumatera Utara meningkat dari 37% pada 2018 menjadi 50% pada 2022. Ini menunjukkan bahwa program ASI eksklusif di Desa Silau Merawan mengalami perkembangan positif yang akan terus meningkat seiring dengan peningkatan monitoring dan pelaksanaan program.

Abstract:
The Maternal and Child Health Program (KIA) is a priority for the Ministry of Health, with exclusive breastfeeding as one of its main focuses. The Decree of the Minister of Health No.450/MENKES/IV/2004 regulates exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months, continued for up to 2 years with appropriate supplementary foods. However, the target of exclusive breastfeeding has not been fully achieved in accordance with the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Health. Monitoring of the exclusive breastfeeding program management system is very important to supervise and analyze the performance and effectiveness of the program. This study aims to describe the implementation of exclusive breastfeeding monitoring in Silau Merawan Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency. This type of research is a descriptive survey, which describes the program in depth. The results of the study show that the management function in the exclusive breastfeeding program in this village, both in terms of input and activity process, has not been running optimally. Many elements have not been carried out by health workers. However, with continuous supervision and counseling, exclusive breastfeeding coverage in North Sumatra increased from 37% in 2018 to 50% in 2022. This shows that the exclusive breastfeeding program in Silau Merawan Village is experiencing positive developments that will continue to increase along with the increase in monitoring and implementation of the program.
