KOMUNITAS: Journal of Sociology and its Applications, published by the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Pattimura University, has signed a cooperation with Ikatan Sosiologi Indonesia (ISI), in English, it is called the Indonesian Sociological Association (ASA). The community association is a professional organization of sociologists in Indonesia. This professional organization was established on October 14, 1989, in Jakarta to encourage the dissemination, development, and utilization of the science of Sociology to collect and channel the thoughts and participation of its members in Indonesian nation-building efforts. The ISI (ASA) profession members are academics, researchers, and bureaucrats with an educational background in sociology, with various scientific publications that they have published in multiple sociology journals from the latest research results. In addition, they also act as reviewers and managers of accredited journals. (link ISI website)

In this regard, the KOMUNITAS: Journal of Sociology majoring in Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Pattimura is interested in collaborating with ISI in order to improve the quality of journal management and publication, both in the aspects of journal managers and reviewers. The implementation of the cooperation in question was agreed in the form of signing a cooperation document on August 16, 2023 in Jogjakarta (link file of cooperation document).
