PSIKOEDUKASI MELALUI PROGRAM CHOOSE LIFE, END ALCOHOL RISK (CLEAR) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KOMISI REMAJA GKMI SALATIGA MENGENAI DAMPAK KONSUMSI ALKOHOL
Abstract
The low level of understanding among GKMI Salatiga adolescents regarding the consequences of alcohol consumption, along with their limited ability to refuse peer pressure, places them at risk of engaging in alcohol misuse. These adolescents also struggle to recognize the long-term consequences and hazardous situations that may lead them to experiment with alcohol. The CLEAR psychoeducation program was developed to enhance adolescents’ knowledge about the dangers of alcohol and to support them in making more informed and responsible decisions. The program involved adolescents aged 13–18 years and was conducted through lectures, group discussions, and case study analyses. Evaluation was conducted using a pre-test and post-test consisting of six true-or-false questions to assess changes in participants’ understanding. The results demonstrated a clear improvement in knowledge across all assessed aspects, including participants’ ability to explain strategies to refuse alcohol. These findings indicate that the CLEAR psychoeducation program is effective as a preventive intervention and can be implemented sustainably to guide adolescents within the church environment.
