PELATIHAN PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI TENSES MASTER SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN GRAMMAR BAHASA INGGRIS BAGI GURU DAN SISWA SMK
Abstract
Mastering English tenses remains one of the challenges in English learning, particularly among vocational high school students. The use of digital learning media provides an opportunity to support more interactive and flexible grammar learning. This community service activity aimed to introduce and train the use of the Tenses Master application as a digital learning medium for English grammar learning among vocational high school teachers and students. The activity was conducted at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kuningan involving 90 participants consisting of 60 vocational high school students and 30 English teachers from several partner schools in Kuningan Regency. The activity was implemented over two days, with the first day focused on student training and the second day focused on teacher training. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments to describe changes in students' understanding of English tenses and questionnaire responses to identify users' acceptance of the application. The evaluation results showed that students' average scores increased from 56.75 in the pre-test to 78.25 in the post-test after participating in the training activities. Furthermore, participants showed very positive responses toward the Tenses Master application, with an overall average score of 4.33 on a five-point Likert scale. These findings indicate that the Tenses Master application was well accepted as a supporting medium for English grammar learning. This activity represents an implementation of research outcomes through the dissemination and utilization of digital learning media among teachers and students.
