AMANISAL: Journal of Capture Fisheries Technology and Management is a scientific publication platform that publishes research articles and scholarly studies in the field of Capture Fisheries Technology, including fish behavior, fishing grounds, fishing ports, fishing vessels, and the design and construction of fishing gear.

In addition, AMANISAL covers the field of Capture Fisheries Management, including archipelagic capture fisheries, capture fisheries systems, fisheries exploration, fisheries biology, fish population dynamics, fisheries bioeconomics, and the sustainable utilization of fisheries resources.

AMANISAL: Journal of Capture Fisheries Technology and Management is published by Pattimura University through the university's Open Journal System (OJS).

AMANISAL is published twice a year, in May and November. Each issue publishes 10–15 scientific articles that have undergone a peer-review process and meet the journal's academic standards and editorial requirements. Through consistent and regular publication, AMANISAL provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to disseminate research findings and scholarly studies in the fields of capture fisheries technology and management.

The name Amanisal is derived from the name of a traditional fishing gear originating from the Maluku region. The use of this name reflects the cultural identity and local wisdom of Maluku in the field of capture fisheries, while also representing the journal's commitment to developing and disseminating knowledge in capture fisheries technology and management at the local, national, and international levels.
