Plagiarism Check Policy

The editorial board recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and, therefore, has established the following policy outlining specific actions (sanctions) to be taken when plagiarism or similarity is identified in an article submitted for publication in the Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Arumbai.

This journal uses Turnitin plagiarism detection software to identify text similarities in submitted manuscripts and final versions ready for publication. A maximum similarity index of 25% is allowed for submitted manuscripts. If the similarity index exceeds 25%, the article will be returned to the author for revision and resubmission.

Levels of Plagiarism

Low Level:
A small portion of another article is plagiarized without significant use of data or ideas from that article.
Action: The author will receive a warning and be asked to revise the text and properly cite the original source.

Moderate Level:
A significant portion of another paper is plagiarized without proper citation of the original source.
Action: The submitted article will be rejected, and the author will be prohibited from submitting any articles for one year.

High Level:
A substantial portion of another paper is plagiarized, involving reproduction of original results or ideas presented in another publication.
Action: The article will be rejected, and the author will be banned from submitting any articles for five years.

In this regard, all authors are responsible for the content of their submitted articles, as they have read and understood the Copyright and License Terms. If a plagiarism penalty is imposed, all authors listed in the manuscript will be subject to the same sanction.
