The Baileo: Jurnal Sosial Humaniora was published by Universitas Pattimura under the Faculty of Social and Politics management.

"Baileo: Jurnal Sosial Humaniora " is published three times a year, namely in January, May, and September. The journal focuses on research articles and book reviews centred around the development of social sciences and humanities. This encompasses various fields such as sociology, communication, public administration, political science, anthropology, psychology, economics, history, cultural studies, human geography, media studies, education, gender studies, philosophy, and other social humanities disciplines.

 The name "Baileo" is derived from the traditional house in Maluku, which was used as a gathering place for community discussions and exchanging ideas. This reflects the journal's purpose: to serve as a platform for exchanging ideas and advancing knowledge in social sciences and humanities. The journal aims to facilitate in-depth discussions and research across various aspects of social sciences and humanities, contributing to a better understanding of society and social issues in Indonesia and worldwide.

The articles published may be theoretical analyses, literature reviews, and research results.
