Baileo: Journal of Social Humanities Vol. 2 Issue 3 presents a special edition with a major socio-economic theme, featuring 13 scholarly articles authored by 29 contributors from four countries: Indonesia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Ghana. This edition serves as a platform for multidisciplinary dialogue that bridges studies in economics, technology, culture, and society within both global and local contexts. The articles in this issue highlight, among other topics, the dynamics of the business sector and consumer behavior, governance and risk in the banking sector, as well as how big data capabilities can enhance corporate competitiveness in the digital age. Social issues also receive significant attention. Research on poverty and environmental degradation in post-conflict Aceh, as well as a study on youth drug abuse in Zimbabwe, reveal the interconnectedness of identity crises, social marginalization, and economic conditions. Other articles explore digital transformation in job training, the symbolic meanings in cultural practices, and perspectives on migration in Ghana as a catalyst for socio-economic development from a transformationalist viewpoint. Through its cross-sectoral and cross-national approach, this edition offers a vital contribution to enriching contemporary socio-economic discourse and provides a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities faced by today's global society.
