The September 2025 edition of Baileo: Jurnal Sosial Humaniora presents a diverse range of interdisciplinary studies highlighting social, cultural, economic, legal, political, and educational dynamics within local, national, and global contexts. This volume brings together 16 scholarly articles contributed by 44 authors from four different countries: Indonesia, the Philippines, Liberia, and Guinea.
The articles in this edition represent the broad scope of contemporary social humanities research. Among them are explorations of women’s roles in local social and economic transformation, flexible pedagogy through digital media, notarial legal accountability, government communication strategies for tourism development, and constitutional debates on the minimum age requirement for presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
Issues of human resource development, food security, community-based tourism rooted in local wisdom, and the dynamics of animal protein consumption are discussed as reflections on society’s socio-economic challenges. Furthermore, international experiences enrich the perspectives of this edition, such as studies on the challenges of multigrade teaching in rural areas of the Philippines and women’s economic participation in Liberia.
With its wide coverage of topics and diverse analytical approaches, this edition underscores the commitment of Baileo: Jurnal Sosial Humaniora to serve as an academic space that bridges local and global discourses while strengthening cross-disciplinary and cross-national research collaboration.
