Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi Unpatti was first published in 2022 and is published by the Geography Education Study Program, Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University, in collaboration with the Indonesian Geographical Society, Maluku. Consistently, it has been published three times a year in April, August, and December, and accepts manuscripts or articles from academics and researchers both from within and outside the country. All manuscripts will be reviewed by editors and, if deemed suitable, will be sent for anonymous peer review. All published articles are original, never been published before, or simultaneously elsewhere. Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi Unpatti has been accredited as SINTA 4 starting from Volume 2 Number 2 of the Year 2023, based on the Accreditation Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi, Sains dan Teknologi Republik Indonesia Nomor 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025.

Each manuscript will be checked for plagiarism before being reviewed by the reviewers. This journal employs a double-blind review system, where the manuscript is sent to reviewers without revealing the authors' identities. Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi Unpatti publishes scientific articles in the fields of geography education, physical geography, human geography, Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, environment, and disaster

Increase in the Number of Articles Published in the Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi UNPATTI

With strong commitment to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of education and geography, the editorial board of Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi UNPATTI is pleased to announce that starting from Volume 4, Number 1, Year 2025, the number of articles published in each issue will be increased from 10 to 20 articles.

This policy has been adopted in response to the growing number of high-quality manuscripts received by the editorial team, as well as an effort to broaden the platform for scholarly publication among academics, researchers, and practitioners in geography education across Indonesia. Despite the increase in quantity, the editorial board remains firmly committed to a rigorous peer-review process, objective selection, and quality assurance in accordance with established academic publishing ethics.

We hope this policy will foster greater research productivity and dissemination of scholarly work in the field of geography education, especially from eastern Indonesia.
