1. General Provisions

Parameter: Jurnal Matematika, Statistika dan Terapannya, published by the University of Pattimura, supports the open dissemination, accessibility, and responsible reuse of scholarly works through an internationally recognized open-access licensing framework.

The journal publishes scholarly articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This license permits readers and other users to share, reproduce, distribute, adapt, and reuse published works for academic, educational, research, and commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given and adaptations are distributed under the same or a compatible license.

The journal is committed to protecting authors' intellectual property rights while encouraging the dissemination and exchange of scholarly knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and their applications.

This requirement applies to adaptations distributed or shared with others and does not automatically require an entire collection containing an unmodified licensed article to be distributed under the same license.

6. Commercial Use

The CC BY-SA 4.0 license permits the commercial use of published materials.

Permitted commercial activities may include reproduction, redistribution, republication, translation, and incorporation of licensed materials into commercial products, publications, or services.

Commercial users must comply with all applicable license conditions, including attribution and ShareAlike requirements where adaptations are distributed.

Commercial reuse must not imply endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or approval by the original authors or Parameter: Jurnal Matematika, Statistika dan Terapannya unless such authorization has been explicitly granted.

7. Copyright Ownership and Authors' Rights

Authors publishing in Parameter: Jurnal Matematika, Statistika dan Terapannya retain the copyright to their scholarly works.

9. Originality and Copyright Responsibilities

By submitting a manuscript to Parameter: Jurnal Matematika, Statistika dan Terapannya, the author(s) warrant that:

  2. The manuscript has not been previously published.

  3. The manuscript does not contain unlawful statements or materials.

  4. The manuscript does not infringe the intellectual property rights or other legal rights of third parties.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts comply with applicable copyright laws, ethical publication standards, and the journal's editorial policies.

10. Reuse in Mathematics, Statistics, and Applied Research

The journal encourages the responsible reuse of published scholarly materials to support advances in mathematics, statistics, mathematical modeling, computational methods, and interdisciplinary research.

Permitted reuse may include:

  • Scholarly citation and academic discussion.

  • Preparation of teaching and instructional materials.

Third-party materials incorporated into published articles are not automatically covered by the article's CC BY-SA 4.0 license when such materials are expressly excluded or governed by separate copyright or licensing arrangements.

Users must review the relevant copyright statements, acknowledgments, and licensing information before reproducing, distributing, modifying, or adapting third-party materials.

Where required, users are responsible for obtaining permission from the applicable copyright holders.

12. Additional Restrictions

Users may not impose additional legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from exercising the rights granted under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license.

The license does not automatically grant rights relating to trademarks, privacy, publicity, moral rights, or other rights beyond its scope.

All use and redistribution of licensed materials must comply with the applicable licensing conditions and relevant laws.

13. License Information and Application

The publication license applicable to each article should be clearly identified on the journal website, within the article's publication information, or in its metadata.

Such information should include:

  1. The full name of the applicable Creative Commons license.

  2. A link to the official license terms.

  3. Relevant copyright and attribution notices.

  4. Information identifying the original publication source.

Articles published under earlier licensing arrangements remain subject to their applicable licensing terms.

Any subsequent amendment to the journal's licensing policy does not automatically replace the licensing conditions applicable to previously published articles.

14. License Statement
