Author Guidelines

  • The author must send the manuscript online by first registering as an author on the website https://ojs3.unpatti.ac.id/index.php/pejlac
  • For every submitted article, the author is obliged to follow the terms and conditions in accordance with Style Guide of Pattimura Excellence Journal of Language and Culture (PEJLaC)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS OF PEJLaC: PATTIMURA EXELLENCE JOURNAL OF LANGUANGE AND CULTURE.

  1. Authors are obliged to register as an author in our OJS site https://ojs3.unpatti.ac.id/index.php/pejlac and upload the original manuscript that has never been published before.
  2. Manuscripts is based on research findings on the topic of Language and Culture which also covers the scientific writings in the area of Linguistics study, Applied Linguistics, Anthropological Linguistics, Culture and structure of language, Culture and language development, Language, culture and communication, Language, culture and politeness, Discourse analysis and critical discourse analysis, Oral literature, Culture Study, and Local Culture.
  3. The manuscript is typed using Microsoft Word and paper size A4.
  4. Manuscripts are written in English (Times New Roman font, size 12, with single spacing and one column)
  5. Abstract written in 150-200 words and the font size 10.
  6. The keywords are written in words and phrases (not in a short sentence)
  7. The title of manuscript is written maximum in 12 words (Do not put the research location and acronym)
  8. If the manuscripts is written by a team or more than one person, the authors must put the sign of corresponding author. (Ex: Fitri Ismiati*)
  9. Scripts are organized into six subheadings in the following order:
    (a) Introduction: includes problem identification, literature review, article GAP (The differences between previous studies and author’s current study), and research objectives.
    (b) Research Method: consists of the way the research is done and a description of the material, equipment, and procedures used in conducting the analysis or research,
    (c) Results and Discussion: Describes the results of research or analysis and can be presented in sub-chapters.
    (d) Conclusion: written in the form of a summary (1 Paragraph) and should contain research implications and recommendations for future study.
    (e) References: all the references is written in Mendeley or APA Style (7th Edition) with maximum(15-20references)

  10. The manuscript is written in English between 8-20 pages (4.000-6.000 words).
  11. Sources of references/citations listed in the script are the primary reference sources in the form of research reports or articles published in the scientific journal/magazine in the last 10 years.
  12. All citations must be contained in references.
