Plagiarsm Check
Before sending an article to a reviewer, the article is first checked for similarities/plagiarism by members of the editorial team. Papers submitted to the PATTIMURA JOURNAL OF COMMUNICATION SCIENCE must have a similarity level of less than 25%. There are 3 steps that can be taken to avoid plagiarism according to Cooper (2016):
(1) Avoid "intellectual theft" of ideas by citing original sources, the most representative sources, or the most recent sources.
(2) Quoting and paraphrasing.
(3) Using Mendeley citation services and Turnitin plagiarism testing services.
