Digital Archiving & Article Identification
All articles published in EQUILIBRIUM: Journal of Economics and Development Studies are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) upon publication. The DOI is a persistent identifier that provides a permanent link to the article online, ensuring long-term archiving and accessibility regardless of any future changes to the website's URL. This guarantees that all published research remains permanently citable and discoverable.
Article Processing Charge (APC)
To support the operations of sustainable open-access publishing, EQUILIBRIUM applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for all articles accepted for publication. This charge covers the costs associated with the rigorous peer-review process, copyediting, typesetting, online publication, long-term digital archiving, and journal management, thereby ensuring that all content remains freely accessible to readers worldwide.
Waiver Policy: The journal is committed to supporting a global scholarly community. Therefore, we offer a full or partial APC waiver in the following cases:
-
Articles where the corresponding author is based in a low or lower-middle-income country (as defined by the World Bank).
-
Articles resulting from international collaboration that include at least one co-author affiliated with an institution outside of Indonesia.
Authors may request a waiver during the submission process. Each request will be reviewed by the editorial office on a case-by-case basis.
Publication Frequency
EQUILIBRIUM is published biannually (two times per year) in the months of June and December.
Plagiarism and Similarity Screening
To uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, every submitted manuscript is screened for potential plagiarism and textual similarity. The journal employs professional plagiarism detection software, primarily Turnitin and iThenticate, to perform this check. Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable levels of similarity or unoriginal content will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision before proceeding with the review process. For full details, please refer to our Plagiarism Policy.
