Journal's Entity
RUMPHIUS Pattimura Biological Journal (RPBJ) is an open-access e-journal that welcomes scholars and researchers to submit the latest research for publication. Our platform offers an avenue to showcase groundbreaking studies. Since 2019, we accepted and published manuscripts in the field of science: Biology (Biology education, studies on biodiversity, and studies on ethnobiology), Biotechnology (Application of bioinformatics, genetic engineering, functional food engineering), and Biomedical Science (Diagnostics molecular, studies on medicinal metabolites, studies on pharmacology).
The name "RUMPHIUS" represents and commemorates a Germany Botanist (1627-1702), who was a famous taxonomist lived and ended his precious life in Ambon Isle, Maluku (Moluccas - "The Spice Island"), Indonesia, whose full name was Georg Eberhard Rumphius. He described thousands of plants and hundreds of animals species found around Maluku. His great work is called the Herbarium Amboinense book or Rumphius' D'Amboinsche Rariteitkamer. We attached his famous name to the name of this journal, as motivation for the curiosity of the young science generation of Maluku.
