Honoli of Journal Primary Teacher Education

Honoli is a term used in the regional language of Southwest Maluku. Honoli is a Maluku tradition that signifies good behavior, politeness, mutual assistance, mutual respect, mutual cooperation, and maintaining a sense of peace wherever one is. Honoli is typically reflected in a community that respects and helps others.

The term Honoli was chosen intentionally because it is seen from the educational field, particularly in Elementary School Teacher Education, where a teacher is a figure respected and emulated by their students. A teacher who possesses good Honoli will undoubtedly provide inspiration and be a good role model for their students. Honoli should not only be present in the daily lives of teachers at school; everyone, anywhere, must consistently demonstrate good Honoli so that those who observe it will also emulate it.

Honoli of Journal Primary Teacher Education was first published in 2020 and is published by the Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Study Program, Off-Campus Study Program (PSDKU), Pattimura University, located in Southwest Maluku Regency, in collaboration with the Indonesian Primary School Teacher Education Lecturer Association (HDPGSDI). This journal serves as a platform for historians, researchers, educators, and education practitioners to publish research articles. Adopting an open access system, Honoli Journal provides ample space for readers to access, utilize, and share the knowledge contained in each published article.

Honoli Journal is consistently published twice a year, in April and November. Articles can be written in either Indonesian or English. This journal publishes research findings on basic education across a variety of topics (science, social studies, mathematics, citizenship, language, arts, culture, religion, sports, technology, environment, learning and teaching, learning tools, learning media, models, approaches, methods, and/or strategies, learning evaluation, learning psychology, and/or pedagogy).

Each submitted manuscript will be reviewed by an editor and, if eligible, will be processed through a double-blind peer review system, a system of anonymous review in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain objectivity. Honoli Journal only accepts original, unpublished manuscripts that are not currently in the process of being published elsewhere. This journal is open to authors from within and outside Indonesia.
