PEER REVIEW PROCESS
The Huele Journal is committed to maintaining high academic integrity and quality standards through a rigorous peer review process. The following steps outline our approach:
-
Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Upon submission, the manuscript is assigned a unique identifier.
-
Initial Screening: The editorial team conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript's suitability for the journal, checking for adherence to submission guidelines, originality, and relevance to the journal's scope.
-
Reviewer Selection: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the editor selects two or more independent experts in the relevant field to review the manuscript. Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise, and efforts are made to ensure no conflicts of interest.
-
Review Process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, clarity, and overall contribution to the field. They provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement. The review process typically takes 4-6 weeks.
-
The editor decides on the manuscript After receiving the reviewers' comments. The possible outcomes are:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication without further revisions.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor changes before it can be accepted.
- Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial revisions and will be returned to the authors for further work.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
-
Author Revisions: If revisions are requested, authors are given a timeframe to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit the manuscript. The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.
-
Final Decision: Once the revised manuscript is received, the editor reviews the changes and makes a final decision. The authors are notified of the outcome, and if accepted, the manuscript moves into the production phase.
-
Publication: Accepted manuscripts are prepared for publication, including typesetting and proofreading. Authors will have the opportunity to review the final proofs before publication.
-
Post-Publication Review: After publication, the journal encourages ongoing dialogue and feedback from the academic community regarding the published articles.
