⚡ Quick Summary: Manis: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis allows the limited and responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support writing, language editing, formatting, and technical improvement. However, AI tools cannot be listed as authors and must not replace the intellectual contribution, critical analysis, originality, and responsibility of human authors.
Manis: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis recognizes the development of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including generative AI and large language models, that may assist authors in preparing manuscripts. The journal permits the responsible use of AI tools only as supporting instruments for improving language quality, grammar, readability, translation, formatting, and technical presentation.
The use of AI tools must not replace the intellectual role of authors in designing the research, developing arguments, collecting and analyzing data, interpreting findings, formulating conclusions, or ensuring the originality and integrity of the manuscript.
Core Principle: Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to the journal, including any text, data, interpretation, citation, or conclusion assisted by AI tools.
Authors may use AI tools for limited supporting purposes, including:
Improving grammar, spelling, sentence structure, clarity, and readability of the manuscript.
Assisting translation or language refinement while ensuring that the meaning remains accurate and academically appropriate.
Helping authors adjust structure, formatting, headings, tables, figures, and references according to the journal template.
Supporting non-substantive technical improvements that do not alter the research findings, analysis, or conclusions.
Authors are not permitted to use AI tools in ways that compromise academic integrity, originality, or research accountability. The following practices are prohibited:
Important: Manuscripts containing fabricated information, false references, manipulated data, or unethical AI-generated content may be rejected or retracted.
AI tools, chatbots, and other automated systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Authorship is limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, interpretation, writing, or revision of the manuscript.
Only human authors can take responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, originality, ethical compliance, and accountability of the submitted manuscript. Therefore, the responsibility for any AI-assisted content remains entirely with the listed authors.
Authors who use AI tools in preparing their manuscript should disclose the use of such tools in the manuscript or in a separate statement during submission. The disclosure should include the name of the AI tool, its version if available, and the purpose of use.
“The authors used [name of AI tool] to assist with language editing and grammar improvement. The authors reviewed, verified, and approved all AI-assisted content and take full responsibility for the final version of the manuscript.”
Authors are responsible for carefully checking any AI-assisted content before submission. This includes verifying the accuracy of statements, citations, references, data, methodology, analysis, and conclusions.
The editorial team may request clarification from authors regarding the use of AI tools. If unethical AI use is detected, the journal may reject the manuscript, request revision, issue a correction, retract the article, or take other actions in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy.
