Editorial Process

Before Submission

The author must ensure that the manuscript has been prepared using the BAREKENG template following the author guidelines and not written by only one author. Manuscripts that can be written by only one author are intended for the invited author or the author who has reputable research and publication in the field of mathematics. The manuscript must also have been carefully proofread and checked for similarity (for 2025 edition, a proofreading certificate must be attached as a supplementary file in the submission process). Manuscripts that do not meet the author guidelines, aim, and scope, along with manuscripts that are written in a different format or have poor English grammar will be immediately rejected. Only manuscripts that meet the BAREKENG standards will be processed further.

Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

Reopening of Manuscript Submissions for March 2027 Issue

Dear Authors and Visitors,

We are pleased to announce that BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications has officially reopened manuscript submissions for the March 2027 issue, Volume 21, Number 1. Following a temporary suspension of new submissions over the past several months, the Editorial Team has successfully completed the publication process for the December 2026 issue, Volume 20, Number 4. During this period, the journal also adjusted its editorial and publication procedures in accordance with the latest journal governance policies implemented by our publisher, Universitas Pattimura.

With the completion of the December 2026 issue and the implementation of the updated journal governance and editorial management procedures, BAREKENG is now ready to resume the acceptance and processing of new manuscripts. The submission and editorial processing of manuscripts for the March 2027 issue, Volume 21, Number 1, will officially begin on September 1, 2026 through the BAREKENG OJS system. Authors are kindly requested to carefully follow the journal's submission guidelines and regularly monitor their respective OJS accounts. We also encourage authors to provide timely responses to editorial decisions, revision requests, review comments, copyediting, and other stages of the publication process. Prompt responses will greatly support an efficient and timely editorial workflow.

Current Issue

Vol 20 No 4 (2026): BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Application

The December 2026 issue (Volume 20, Issue 4) of BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications, comprising 60 peer-reviewed articles, showcases contributions from 212 authors, including 99 male and 113 female researchers. Altogether, the authors contributing to this issue are based in 9 countries. Of these, 127 are affiliated with Indonesian institutions, while 85 are international scholars from 8 countries, namely Malaysia, Nigeria, India, Saudi Arabia, China, Ireland, Palestine, and United Kingdom. In total, the contributors represent 31 domestic affiliations and 35 international affiliations, reflecting both a robust national base and an expanding global presence. We extend our sincere gratitude to the 161 reviewers from 19 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Bangladesh, China, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Pakistan, Portugal, Russia ,Turkey, Tunisia, and Uzbekistan; who have dedicated their time, shared their expertise, and provided constructive feedback throughout the review process for these 60 articles. This December 2026 issue has been available online since August 2026. Volume 20 of the journal is published quarterly, with issues scheduled for March, June, September, and December. The authors contributing to this issue are affiliated with institutions from the following 9 countries.
