We cordially invite mathematicians, university lecturers, and researchers working in mathematics and related fields within the scope of BAREKENG to publish the results of their research in our journal. BAREKENG is committed to fostering strong academic networks through collaborations and partnerships with universities, research institutions, and international conferences. These collaborations aim to promote the exchange of knowledge, support the dissemination of high-quality research, and provide a platform for scholars to engage in meaningful scientific discussions. By partnering with diverse academic events and institutions worldwide, we continue to strengthen our role in advancing research excellence, enhancing global scholarly communication, and creating broader opportunities for impactful research dissemination. We look forward to receiving your submissions and working together to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence.

Before Submission

The author must ensure that the manuscript has been prepared using the BAREKENG template following the author guidelines and not written by only one author. Manuscripts that can be written by only one author are intended for the invited author or the author who has reputable research and publication in the field of mathematics. The manuscript must also have been carefully proofread and checked for similarity (for 2025 edition, a proofreading certificate must be attached as a supplementary file in the submission process). Manuscripts that do not meet the author guidelines, aim, and scope, along with manuscripts that are written in a different format or have poor English grammar will be immediately rejected. Only manuscripts that meet the BAREKENG standards will be processed further.

Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

Temporary Suspension of New Submissions

Dear Authors and Visitors, Due to the high volume of daily manuscript submissions, the editorial workflow of BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications is currently very intensive, resulting in a substantial workload for our editors. In addition, our publisher Universitas Pattimura is implementing improvements to the journal’s governance and editorial management. Therefore, the journal is temporarily suspending the acceptance of new submissions. This measure will allow the editorial team to focus on completing the processing and publication targets for manuscripts that are already in progress within the BAREKENG OJS system. Information regarding the reopening of submissions will be announced in due course on the official BAREKENG journal website.

Announcement – Temporary Closure of New Submissions (Call for Papers)

Due to the exceptionally high volume of manuscript submissions and recent changes in Universitas Pattimura’s governance policies that have affected the journal’s management and editorial operations, BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications is temporarily unable to accept new submissions at this time.

This temporary closure is necessary to ensure continuity of quality and to allow the editorial team to finalize the processing of manuscripts currently in progress in the BAREKENG OJS system.

Updates regarding the reopening of submissions will be announced on the official BAREKENG journal website.

Current Issue

Vol 20 No 2 (2026): BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Application

The June 2026 issue (Volume 20, Issue 2) of BAREKENG: Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications, comprising 60 peer-reviewed articles and 1 article retraction, showcases contributions from 241 authors, including 122 male and 119 female researchers. Altogether, the authors contributing to this issue are based in 9 countries. Of these, 216 are affiliated with Indonesian institutions, while 25 are international scholars from 8 countries, namely India, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Philippine, United Kingdom. In total, the contributors represent 56 domestic affiliations and 19 international affiliations, reflecting both a robust national base and an expanding global presence. We extend our sincere gratitude to the 203 reviewers from 12 countries: Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Estonia, India, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, France, Nigeria, United Kingdom; who have dedicated their time, shared their expertise, and provided constructive feedback throughout the review process for these 60 articles. This June 2026 issue has been available online since January 2026. Volume 20 of the journal is published quarterly, with issues scheduled for March, June, September, and December. The authors contributing to this issue are affiliated with institutions from the following 9 countries.
